Ladies and Gentleman. Pleats, faux leather, ruffles, ties, lace-ups–you name it– it’s sitting pretty in this outfit. Balance is not necessarily something I’m excellent at putting into action… but when it comes with showing skin in my looks I tend to lean towards balancing out the amount of skin that I let peek through. If my legs are out in stark disobedience, then my top is all wrapped up. Or if my shoulders are on display, i’m usually pairing that with a loose-fitting skirt or a pair of distressed denim.
This was a fun look to style. Different than what I’m used to (I don’t really wear mini skirts) but different is good. And constantly questioning your comfort zone and therefore redefining it is a strategy that can and should be used in all parts of our lives. Easier said than done… I know.
What I love about this look:
- took a step out of my comfort zone
- this matte Vegan leather pleated mini– the pleats are so nicely defined
- the ruffles and ties on this top– I like that you an tie or not, tighten or not.
